PlantMaster offers an Energy Monitoring Module as part of the monitoring functionality of the system. Once the production machines are equipped with Data Units, extending the system with Energy Monitoring is amazingly simple. In the control box of the machine a consumption meter is installed. The output pulses of such a meter are then connected to the Data Unit and from there the consumption information is transmitted to the PlantMaster data base.

The software allows reporting the power consumption by machine, by type of produced product, by shift, week and month. The power consumption can be reported for running machines as well as for machines standing idle.

In many countries there are incentives to save energy. In Europe RECIPE or the Reduced Energy Consumption in Plastics Engineering is such a program part of the European Commission’s Intelligent Energy Program.

The PlantMaster Energy Monitoring Module makes it possible to analyze your power consumption and is a practical tool to minimize your power consumption.
